Nghi (Nia) Tran is a Ph.D. candidate in the Microbiology department at OSU. She is from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. She received her BA in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from The College of Wooster, OH. Previously, she worked with the biochemical activities of the thioredoxin protein in Saccharomyces cerevisiae and its ability to protect cells against oxidative stress. She is also the Treasurer for the CoMS GSU here at OSU. Ouside of science, Nghi is an enthusiast runner and is training for a nationwide marathon!
